Dixon, Montana is typically a very quiet town known for their outstanding melons. That sight changed on December 6 when it is alleged Nathan Calvert went on a drug fueled rage resulting in the murder of Doug Morigeau and the attempted murder of Cheryl Morigeau. Calvert was taken into custody by police holding a bloody knife and a rifle. Court documents list that Calvert broke the rifle after repeatedly striking Doug Morigeau with the rifle. Calvert’s defense attorney has requested a mental health examination of the accused. Calvert is currently charged with the deliberate homicide of Doug and the attempted homicide of Cheryl in Sanders County District Court.
